I can start by sharing a saying my mom repeated to me constantly when I was a child:

“Tell me who you hang out with, and I’ll tell you who you are.”

Those words followed me every time I stepped out onto the streets of New York City during my elementary school years in the 1960s. My mother knew exactly what was waiting outside our door. Raising two boys in a one-bedroom apartment and keeping us indoors all summer wasn’t easy, so she made sure that one truth was firmly planted in our minds: the company you keep will shape your future.

At the time, I didn’t realize how deep that wisdom really was. But looking back now, I understand something I couldn’t see then—my mother had summarized Scripture in a single sentence.

When I read Proverbs 11:14 and 15:22 today, I see the same principle echoed clearly: wisdom is found in godly counsel, and growth happens in the presence of the right people.

That understanding is exactly why I joined Kingdom Business Fellowship. As entrepreneurs, we don’t just need motivation—we need alignment. We need to surround ourselves with like-minded men and women who are serious about growing spiritually, leading with integrity, and moving to the next level in every area of life.

So I encourage you—especially my fellow Christians—to be part of this tribe. A community of believers who are seeking to please God with all their heart, soul, and mind. A place where wisdom is shared, faith is strengthened, and encouragement flows freely.

I fully expect to find God’s wisdom among this group of cheerleaders—people who will challenge me, support me, and help push me to the next level, both spiritually and financially.
